SLCPD Offering Financial Subsidy for Business Surveillance Systems
The Salt Lake City Police Department is offering to match funds for businesses interested in purchasing a video surveillance system.
Half of the purchase price (up to $1,500) will be reimbursed to businesses that meet certain criteria. For a list of these conditions and for an application, please visit:

The money slated for reimbursement was obtained by the Salt Lake City Police Department by means of a federal grant.

The Utah Transit Authority (UTA) has prepared a Draft Environmental Study Report (Draft ESR) for the proposed Airport TRAX Line project. The Draft ESR describes the 6-mile light rail line that would extend light rail transit service from the Salt Lake International Airport to downtown Salt Lake City. A 45-day public comment period for this Draft ESR will begin on February 25, 2008 and conclude on April 10, 2008. Written comments on the document must be postmarked by April 10, 2008.
