Guidelines for Patio Fire Places

Filed under: Other — Baker @ 8:51 am

- The fire place must be build to UL (Underwriters Laboratories) standards.- For fires that are less than 3 feet wide and 2 feet tall:        - The fire must be 25 feet from a structure or combustible material.        - The fire must be constantly attended.        - There must be extinguishing equipment (e.g., extinguisher, dirt, water, etc.) readily available.- For fires larger than that or used in unique ways such as pit roasting a pig or building a sweat lodge, call the Fire Prevent Bureau (799-4150) for options.

Call the Fire Prevention Bureau (799-4150) with any questions or concerns.
