The new 1000 North bridge is scheduled to be open to traffic by Monday, April 19. This new bridge will maintain the same access to I-15 that existed before construction and will also provide east/west access to Warm Springs Road. It includes a southbound off-ramp from I-15 to the intersection of 900 West and 900 North (opening with the bridge), an on-ramp to southbound I-15 (already open), and an on-ramp to northbound I-15 (opening at project completion in Fall 2010). This activity is weather dependant and the date is subject to change.
NOTE:Motorists can access Warm Springs Road by exiting southbound I-15 at 2300 North and proceeding under the Beck Street Bridge. When the 1000 North Bridge is open, southbound motorists will be able to exit I-15 at 1000 North and proceeding east over the new bridge. At that time, northbound motorists will be able to access Warm Springs Road by exiting I-15 at 600 North, proceeding west to 900 West and proceeding north to the new bridge at 1000 North then over to Warm Springs Road. The I-15 EXPRESSLink project team recommends motorists use this new route to access Warm Springs Road when the bridge opens. The graphic below details the new driving route.

Sarah DeFord Williams, Rose Park resident and author of Palace Beautiful, will be reading from her book.

Mark your calendars. The annual Rose Park Festival will be on Saturday, June 5, 2010 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Rose Park Elementary School, 1105 West 1000 North. Hundreds of residents came together in 2009 to celebrate their unity through food, entertainment, safety displays, and various vendors.
This article featured in City Weekly goes along great with my “Ten Things I love about Rose Park” post. According to City Weekly, we have the best cool cats, the best connections, and we are the best unchained neighborhood.
