Dear Community Members,The Community Emergency Response Coordination Workshop has been rescheduled.  Please join us at the workshop on Saturday, August 14, 2010.  Continental breakfast will be offered at 8:30 am.  Welcome and opening address will begin at 8:50.  The key topic for this workshop is post disaster communications.  The focus will be collaboration to incorporate existing entities and plans, as well as the development of new plans, to establish a defined communications system to be implemented in the event that normal communications channels are not available after a large scale disaster. 

This workshop is for anyone interested in community emergency response and post disaster communications capabilities in Salt Lake City.

We are progressing in establishing CERT’s throughout the City and continue to ask the community councils for assistance in finding representatives in every neighborhood to participate in these efforts.  We also encourage everyone involved in community emergency response plans in other community groups such as churches to attend because it is vital that we coordinate with existing plans and efforts.  Below/attached is the agenda.  Didn’t attend the previous workshops?  No problem.  Please join us at this one!
